Private Lessons

Myles has an ever-growing private flute studio in the USA. Myles mostly teaches advanced students but is delighted to help students of all ages and abilities, ranging from students at the start of their flute playing journey, right through to professional flute players seeking an extra opinion, preparing for auditions, or looking for help with specific elements in the repertoire. Myles has had students win prizes at various Universities in South Africa and the USA. Many of his students have played as principal flute at the Colorado All State band, Stellenbosch International Chamber music festival, NOCO Honors Band, CSU Honors Band, and have gone on to have successful careers as teachers, soloists, and orchestral musicians. Myles is also happy to give private lessons in other cities of the world if he is travelling there and his schedule allows it. Online lessons

Myles has several students around the globe who take online flute lessons with him. He has also taught Statewide Masterclasses to flutists using Zoom, Skype, Teams, and other online platforms that are convenient for the student. Masterclasses

Myles gives masterclasses and workshops regularly throughout the world at music colleges, universities, festivals, and organizations. Often these are paired with a recital. If you would like to discuss possibilities in arranging such an event, please use the contact page.
